Faces of HR: Honouring the finest gems in Indonesia’s HR industry

In times of rapid disruption and transformation, HR teams across Indonesia must remain relevant and robust to keep ahead of the curve.  The Human Resources Online team is proud to bring to you the first-ever Indonesia edition of the HR Excellence Awards 2019 this 21 November!

Held regionally since 2013, and making its debut in Indonesia this year, this awards show is especially dedicated to celebrating Indonesia’s top notch quality in-house HR talent as well as their innovative people practices.

Join the conversation as Priya Veeriah uncovers the true meaning of HR celebration and excellence with Ilham Pradono, Country Head of HR, Indonesia, Avery Dennison, who is part of the distinguished panel of judges that will be reviewing all entry submissions received.

Q Why do you think it’s important to recognise the HR efforts and talent in Indonesia?

HR departments handle the A-Z challenges of the business beginning with its unique employees, differing cultures, and more. It is also HR’s job to solve the issues that crop up within the business.

Hence it is ever-more important to give HR the appreciation it deserves for the hard work and dedication that goes in. The HR Excellence awards is the best way to acknowledge this.

Q What do think the HR community can expect to gain from the HR Excellence Awards?

This is the best platform to acknowledge all the talented HR teams, bringing to light their collaborative competencies across companies and industries. It is a great opportunity to learn from each other, reflect on your own team and gain validated feedback to improve.

A great stepping stone for participating teams to grow and improve in a sustainable manner.

Q Why should HR teams participate in HR Excellence Awards?

Not only is the awards a form of healthy competition for teams to shout out loud about their achievements, but the gala night will be a great form of networking and an eye-opening experience to meet other talented HR professionals across Indonesia.

Q How excited are you for the HR Excellence Awards?

I'm very excited and this is exactly what Indonesia’s HR community needs - to have a platform to know each other, compete, and make the best effort of their life in HR.
