Eligible Malaysia employers can now apply for re-entry for foreign workers whose PLKS have expired

Eligible Malaysia employers can now apply for re-entry for foreign workers whose PLKS have expired

Only employers whose foreign workers' temporary work visit passes (PLKS) expired between 18 March 2020 and 15 April 2022 may apply for the PLKS re-entry, if the worker was outside Malaysia in that period.

Earlier this quarter, the Malaysian Government moved to discontinue MyTravelPass applications for entry into Malaysia, following the country's transition into an endemic phase.

In line with this, all employers intending to bring foreign workers who are holders of an expired Temporary Work Visit Pass (PLKS) into Malaysia must apply for PLKS re-entry in accordance with the following provisions:

  1. The PLKS re-entry application must be done by a legitimate employer.
  2. Employers can apply for the PLKS re-entry via this link, and by uploading the required supporting documents.
  3. Only employers whose foreign workers' PLKS expired between 18 March 2020 and 15 April 2022 may apply for the PLKS re-entry, if the worker was outside Malaysia in that period. Foreign workers whose PLKS expired in that period, but who were still in Malaysia, are not eligible for the application.

The application period will be open up till 30 June 2022 (Thursday), Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia shared.
