Asia's best in recruitment advertising strategy

Fast food giant McDonald's Restaurants proved its recruitment mettle, winning gold for the category for Best Recruitment Advertising Strategy at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, Singapore.

Silver in the category was shared by GroupM Asia Pacific and SCOOT, while Certis CISCO Security took home the bronze trophy, at the awards held on April 13, 2016.

Michael Wright, GroupM's head of talent acquisition in Asia Pacific, commented: "GroupM has, for several years, been walking the talk on recruiting, by investing in tools, technology, and talented people. It has been very satisfying to see our strategy validated and the hard work of the APAC team recognised, beyond our industry."

Asia Recruitment Awards, held for the second consecutive year, are the region’s premier awards for recognising and rewarding excellence in recruitment, across in-house recruitment teams as well as recruitment agencies, held in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

The Hong Kong edition of the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 was held on April 7, 2016, which saw Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts winning the gold trophy for this category.

Property and infrastructure conglomerate New World Development won the silver trophy, with the bronze handed to adidas Group for excellence in recruitment advertising.

All entries submitted were judged by a pool of more than 60 senior HR practitioners from the corporate and public sector across Asia. For this category, the judges looked for campaigns that were innovative, functional and, ultimately, productive.

In Malaysia, Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 saw Maybank being crowned as the gold winner for its recruitment advertising strategy, while FOREFRONT International won the silver trophy.
