Adzhar Ibrahim leaves AirAsia, joins Maxis

After nearly five years with AirAsia, Adzhar Ibrahim joins communications service provider Maxis, as their head of people and organisation.

He was previously the regional head of people for the budget airline, a role which he held since 2010. He took up his new role with Maxis in July.

According to the company website, Ibrahim brings with him to Maxis 33 years of experience in human resources across various industries and sectors, in both local and foreign-owned corporations.

In his new role, he is responsible for talent acquisition, performance and rewards, industrial relations and learning and development.

"His focus is on putting in place people processes and policies to create a fresh, strong Maxis culture that will push Maxis towards achieving its business ambitions," the website states.

Previously in his career, Ibrahim also worked at DiGi.com, Sime Darby and Standard Chartered Bank. Before that, he also previously worked at Maxis as the general manager of human resources during its early start-up stage.
