AbbVie, Archroma & Emerio unveil talent management strategies

The role of talent management in the overall effectiveness and financial performance of a company is widely increasing.

This motivates organisations to streamline its HR functions and boost employee attraction, retention, and engagement strategies.

HR executives from the most respected companies in Asia, including AbbVie, Archroma and Emerio will share their best practices at this year’s Talent Management Asia, Asia’s biggest and most respected conference on talent management and human capital strategy.

Talent Management Asia 2016 is a two-day conference happening in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in March 2016 to be attended by chief talent officers, chief human resources officers, chief executive officers, managing directors, among others.

“Attracting the right talent requires an understanding of people, their needs and behaviour, and through this knowledge, structures and policies are developed,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“But evolving global markets and talent demographics intensify competition for the best individuals, so the question that Talent Management Asia aims to address is: how can HR professionals come up with a strategy that takes all those factors into account?”

Now in its 4th year, Talent Management Asia will explore the most pressing issues organisations and HR practitioners are currently facing today.

Among the speakers of the event are:

Assil Omar, talent management and development director for Japan Asia Pacific at AbbVie, specialises in leadership development with active engagement from senior executives.

In her current tole, she administers the design and implementation of performance and talent management, corporate universities and learning organisations. Assil holds an M.A. in Curriculum Studies from University of Toronto.

Ravi Bhogaraju, global HR leader for textile chemicals business and the head of HR for all businesses in Asia for Archroma, is in charge of partnering with global business president and regional leaders across Asia, Europe and LATAM to grow and transform a one-billion-dollar business across the globe.

He has held HR roles in various industries, including chemicals, petrochemicals, technology, software, real estate & investments and life sciences.

With over 18 years of HR experience Vishal Chhiber, human resources vice president, for Emerio Globesoft, an NTT Communications Company based in Singapore, has been exposed to various industries as an HR professional, such as IT, staffing, media, FMCG, automobile and financial services.

Prior to joining Emerio, he had worked with Discovery Networks, Monsanto India Ltd., Maruti Suzuki Ltd. and SHCIL. He also has experience working as a functional head of industrial and employee relations, talent acquisition and organizational development functions.

He holds an MBA in HR from XLRI Institute of Management & Research, Jamshedpur, India.

The list of companies participating in the Talent Management Asia 2016 agenda is continuously growing, and among the top ones are Coca-Cola, Essilor, HCL Technologies, Mitsubishi and Schneider Electric.

All presenters & panellists, such as Angeline Oh, Group Talent Management and Development vice president at SingTel, are director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.

To be held in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and in March 2016, Talent Management Asia is Asia’s biggest conference on talent management and human capital strategy.
