Following reports of salary delays dating back to December 2024, MOM and TADM have stepped in to support affected Jollibean workers in recovering their dues.
Spokespersons for the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM) have confirmed that 29 employees from Jollibean Foods are being assisted over claims of unpaid salaries.
In response to Human Resources Online, they shared that during mediation sessions at TADM, the employer signed instalment payment agreements with 22 of the affected workers. Separately, the Employment Claims Tribunals (ECT) has ordered the company to pay three other employees. Another four cases are still pending mediation or awaiting the tribunal's outcome.
MOM is also investigating the employer for potential offences under the Employment Act. Both MOM and TADM said they will continue to provide support to the impacted employees.
"We would like to remind employers to pay salaries and CPF contributions on time to their employees," they said.
The update comes following media reports of unpaid or late salaries at the homegrown soya milk and snack chain, which have reportedly occurred sporadically since December 2024.
In lieu of the incident, the MOM and TADM spokespersons reminded that employees in Singapore who are not paid on time can file salary-related claims with TADM. The agency will assist in resolving these cases through mediation or refer them to the ECT for determination if necessary.
