WSG appoints US-headquartered Maximus for career matching services

Workforce Singapore (WSG) has appointed its second career matching provider, MAXIMUS Asia, to provide career and job matching services to Singaporeans. Appointed under a two-year pilot, the US-headquartered agency commenced local operations on 12 June at Westgate Tower.

Maximus joins the previously-announced private sector placement provider, UK-headquartered Ingeus to help active PMETs job seekers who were made redundant or unemployed for three months or more.

Ingeus and Maximus were shortlisted from a pool of about five foreign organisations that met WSG’s requirements of having a positive track record in placing active jobseekers for governments in other countries. Both the providers will complement WSG and NTUC’s Employability and Employment Institute’s (e2i) existing career matching services.

WSG and NTUC’s e2i will randomly assign the jobseekers to either WSG, e2i or a CMP for career matching services. WSG will pay the two agencies on an outcome-based model where they will be compensated only upon successful achievement of placement outcomes.
