Up the ranks: Sonia Fernandes is MediaCom's regional chief talent officer

MediaCom has appointed Sonia Fernandes as chief talent officer of Asia Pacific, who was most recently at KPMG as CHRO for the management consulting practice in South East Asia.

She will be responsible for developing and driving innovative initiatives in talent attraction, development, engagement and transformation that will both complement and mirror the current and future strategic business objectives of MediaCom. She will also bolster learning and development, while based in Singapore.

She will report to Mark Heap, CEO, MediaCom APAC, who commented: "Having lived and worked in New Zealand, UK, Singapore and India, her understanding of the breadth of challenges, differences and opportunities we have in this part of the world is second to none. I’m really excited to have her join our team."

Fernandes will work closely with Helen Brown, global chief HR and talent officer, MediaCom Worldwide.
