Up the ranks: Onida names Neelam Sanguri as CPO to steer people and culture transformation

Bringing more than 16 years of HR leadership experience, Sanguri will oversee the consumer electronics brand's people strategy, talent agenda, leadership development, and organisational transformation.

Onida Electronics Limited has appointed Neelam Sanguri (pictured above) as its new Chief People Officer.

Based in Mumbai, Neelam will lead the company's people strategy, talent agenda, leadership development, and organisational transformation initiatives. She will report to the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director.

Commenting on the appointment, Gunjan Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer, Onida Electronics Limited, said the company's transformation extends beyond products and technology to building an organisation that attracts, develops, and empowers exceptional talent.

According to him, Neelam's experience in building high-performing organisations and fostering cultures that enable innovation, agility, and growth makes her well placed to support the company's next phase.

Sharing her thoughts on the appointment, Neelam said she is excited to join the organisation as it continues its transformation journey, adding that she looks forward to building a people-first organisation that nurtures talent, encourages collaboration, and enables employees to contribute meaningfully to the company's growth ambitions.

Neelam joins Onida with more than 16 years of leadership experience spanning the consumer durables, technology, edutech, and financial services sectors. Her expertise includes talent strategy, organisational development, culture transformation, employee engagement, and leadership development.

Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer & Chief Customer Officer at Credilio Financial Technologies, where she established and scaled the company's people function while supporting rapid business growth.

Before that, she was Director, Talent Transformation at EZScholar Edutech, leading strategic talent initiatives to drive organisational growth and transformation.

Earlier, during her nearly seven-year tenure at BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing, she led learning and development, employee engagement, internal communications, leadership development, performance management, and organisation-wide culture initiatives. She also held HR roles at HCL Technologies and Altisource Business Solutions, where she focused on people transformation.
