Up the ranks: Lyra Schramm assumes role of Chief People Officer at F5

The California-based leader comes with a wealth of experience in roles that align people strategies with business objectives in high-growth, innovative, and philanthropic sectors.

F5, a multicloud application security and delivery company, has appointed Lyra Schramm as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer effective April 2024.

Bringing to the role a fresh perspective to building an innovative workplace culture, Schramm is responsible for driving people initiatives that support F5’s purpose to help bring a better digital world to life and position the company for continued growth.

The California-based leader comes with a wealth of experience in roles that align people strategies with business objectives in high-growth, innovative, and philanthropic sectors. Her most recent tenure was as Vice President, Strategy and Innovation at Google, and prior to that, she held senior roles at AWS and the Gates Foundation.

Commenting on her new role, Schramm said: "F5’s human-first and high-performance culture resonates deeply with me.

Schramm's appointment was announced alongside that of Kunal Anand, who has taken on the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer effective the same period. In his role, Anand is responsible for setting the technology vision for F5, joining the company with deep expertise across multiple areas, including cybersecurity and data.

Both leaders sit on F5's executive leadership team reporting to President and CEO, François Locoh-Donou.
