Up the ranks: Gaurav Hirey is Millward Brown's new regional CHRO

Millward Brown has appointed Gaurav Hirey as chief human resource officer for its Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific markets effective 1 November 2015.

In his new role, Hirey will be based in Singapore.

Hirey brings more than 20 years of HR leadership experience to Millward Brown. His most recent role was executive board member and chief talent officer for South Asia at WPP’s GroupM.

His previous roles include being regional chief talent officer for Maxus Asia Pacific where he was part of the core team which created the Maxus PACE behaviours and, head of HR of GroupM South Asia.

Commenting on his appointment, Hirey said, "These are interesting transformational times for the brand and communications industry. I am honoured to join a hugely credible organisation with an equally inspiring and passionate leadership team."

Hirey is also passionate about helping children and was the chief sponsor for GroupM India’s corporate responsibility initiative, Lighting the Sparks, a programme which provides education, health facilities and support to the economically challenged children in the country.
