- Send a message to the 1868 WhatsApp assistance hotline or the 1868 WeChat assistance hotline
- Submit an Online Assistance Request Form, or
- Contact local Chinese Embassies.
Hong Kong residents travelling overseas are also encouraged to register their contact details and itinerary through the ImmD’s Registration of Outbound Travel Information service.
The information enables the department to send practical updates through appropriate channels, including SMS, when necessary.
