Up the ranks: Equis Development appoints Ella Sherman as Head of Human Resources

In this role, which comes in line with the expansion of the business, she manages end-to-end HR for Australia, Japan, Korea and Singapore. 

Equis Development, Asia Pacific’s leading infrastructure asset developer specialising in renewable energy, has appointed Ella Sherman as Head of Human Resources, effective 1 February 2021. In this role, she is managing end-to-end HR for Australia, Japan, Korea and Singapore, and reports to the CEO. 

This development comes in line with the expansion of the business, whereby Ella will put to good use her talent acquisition experience (CEI KAH qualified), comprehensive HR skills-set, and also her knowledge as a qualified data protection officer.

She is handling all aspects of HR strategy, policy and procedures implementation, recruitment, employment contracts and onboarding, performance reviews, succession planning, HR compliance, employee relations, special projects and payroll.

With over 20 years of work experience, Ella has held roles in London, Hong Kong and Singapore for blue-chip MNCs such as Chase Manhattan Bank, UBS, CSFB, Credit Agricole (WI Carr Securities), Goldman Sachs & PricewaterhouseCoopers. Immediately prior to the current role, she was Director of Human Resources & People Talent at Ps-engage Global Government Relations.

Ella's experience in HR includes generalist (including executive search), pensions administration, as well as international compensation, benefits & relocation, covering equity sales, fixed income & derivatives, private banking, investment banking, research, merchant banking, and graduate training programme.

She has been a recipient of the prestigious 'Chase Service Star Award’ bestowed by Chase Manhattan Bank in recognition for "Performing above and beyond the call of duty in the interactions with colleagues and clients".
