Most recently AIA Group's HR Director in Hong Kong, Addison takes over from Aileen Tan, who retires from the role after over seven years with the company.
AIA Singapore has announced the appointment of Owen Addison as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective 1 October 2025. He will take over the role following the retirement of Aileen Tan, who has served in the position for more than seven years.
In his new role, Addison will report directly to Wong Sze Keed, Chief Executive Officer, AIA Singapore.
Tan, who will step down on 30 September 2025, has been lauded as a central figure in shaping the organisation’s culture and values. Known for her leadership and mentorship, she leaves behind a legacy across the organisation.
"Aileen has been a guiding light for our organisation, and her immense contributions will continue to be felt for years to come," said Wong. "We wish her all the best as she embarks on another phase."
While stepping away from AIA Singapore, Tan will continue to lend her expertise to the wider AIA network. She will take on a new role with Amplify Health, where she will lead the People and Culture team as a strategic guide and coach effective 1 October.
Meanwhile, Addison brings to his new role nearly a decade of experience with AIA, having joined the company in January 2017. He most recently served as Director of Human Resources at AIA Group in Hong Kong, acting as the Business Partner to Group Technology and Operations, AIA New Zealand, and AIA Sri Lanka. He also led the Group CHRO Office.
His professional journey began in the financial services sector before he moved into consulting with PwC, where he honed his expertise in HR business partnering, organisation transformation, executive compensation, and performance and reward.
Wong expressed confidence in Addison’s ability to lead: "Owen has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision throughout his tenure at AIA.”
With his strong track record in driving people and organisational strategies, she added, AIA Singapore is confident that Addison will play a key role in its HR leadership.
