Not only is Google a popular employer for professionals worldwide, it has also emerged as a favourite among the Millennial generation.
Polling 18,000 respondents, a new survey by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) found that out of 200 companies worldwide, most Millennials prefer to work for the technology giant.
Walt Disney Company, "a perennial youth favourite", ranked second in the list.
In third place was St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a pediatric treatment and research hospital that focuses on catastrophic children’s diseases like cancer and aplastic anemia, the survey stated.
The medicine and healthcare field, was in fact, the most sought after sector this year, with 40% of Millennials stating they would like to work in such companies.
This was followed by the science (28%), technology/engineering (21%) and arts/entertainment/media (21%) sectors.
The companies were ranked after taking into consideration factors such as employer perception and image, salary and perks, job-specific opportunities and work atmosphere and environment.

When considering potential employers, Millennials stated they were most likely to look at if employers treat employees fairly (72%), and companies' flexible hours or work schedule (70%).
Work-life balance also emerged as a key consideration for the 68% of respondents.
