Recruitment Asia 2016Â is a two-day conference happening in Singapore on 1-2 November and on 15-16 November in Kuala Lumpur.

The leaders' panel discussion "Local versus international talent – key considerations in recruitment and retention" will tackle the hottest issues in recruitment today, including government regulations and requirements and manpower optimisation in global economic downturn. Techniques on building local pipelines and other key activities in recruitment and retention will be laid out. The panel is composed of Eugene Lam, regional HR director at Kimberly-Clark, Adele Png, head talent acquisition ASEAN at Philips Electronics, and Freddie Chow, chief talent officer, APAC at Sanofi-Aventis.
Another leaders’ panel discussion will shed light on the talent shortage issue and offer suggestions on how to recruit and win the talent war. Nora Abdul Manaf, group chief human capital officer at Maybank, and Sunil Kumar, senior director for talent management, Asia Pacific, at AIG will be among the panellists. They will exchange insights about the current challenges in retention, from strategies to initiatives to evaluations. The other issues they will address are workforce planning in economic downturn and regulatory requirements.
The CEO keynote address will get to the bottom of defining the role of recruitment in a company’s decision making processes. The discussion will also recommend strategies in recruiting the right talent, aligning recruitment functions to business goals, and reshaping multigenerational talent for different roles in an organisation.
