On 8 June 2022 (Wednesday), investment banking company J.P. Morgan has opened its new city office at CapitaSpring, the integrated development located in the center of Singapore’s financial district.

Jamie Dimon, Chairman & CEO, JPMorgan Chase, officiated the launch ceremony alongside the guest-of-honour, Singapore's Senior Minister & Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and Filippo Gori, CEO, APAC, J.P. Morgan.

At the opening ceremony, Dimon said: "Singapore is a key financial and technology hub for J.P. Morgan and an integral part of our growth story in Asia Pacific.

"Our move to this state-of-the-art workplace reiterates the firm’s commitment to this critical market and provides the opportunity to further secure our long-term growth and future in the country. The new office’s exceptional infrastructure and facilities will enable us to continue meeting the needs of our clients while providing our employees with a best-in-class working environment."

The new office, which occupies 155,000 square feet across seven floors, features advanced facilities such as real-time air quality sensors and automated sun screens, as well as enhanced amenities including a client centre, collaborative spaces, mini markets, and wellness areas equipped with ergonomic resting pods.

Adding to Dimon's comment, Minister Tharman shared that Singapore’s growth as a financial centre has "relied critically" on the roles played by leading financial institutions like J.P. Morgan, which have over the years grown Singapore's capabilities and a whole ecosystem, and that the organisation’s work at the forefront of sustainability and technology in finance has been "very much aligned" with the nation's goal of meeting Asia’s needs in a new area of growth.

With that, the Minister said: "We look forward to deepening our collaboration as we meet this larger purpose."

On a separate note, the new city office is also, in fact, parallel with J.P. Morgan’s commitment to maintaining carbon neutral operations. The establishment is a recipient of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award, dubbed as one of the highest sustainability accolades that can be achieved in Singapore. Aside from CapitaSpring, J.P. Morgan Singapore also operates from its Singapore Corporate Centre, a global technology hub located in Changi.
