Shaping Modern Learners at McCann & Petronas

Esteemed HR leaders from McCann, Petronas, and P&A Grant Thornton will reveal their key strategies for cultivating modern learners in their respective organisations at Training & Development Asia 2017. From change management to L&D tactics, Training & Development Asia, the region’s biggest conference on learning and development, has the latest issues and trends in professional development covered.

Known for being a seasoned and well-rounded HR professional, Dr Makarand Tare currently serves as the chief talent officer at McCann Worldgroup. He has been exposed to a range of industries, including consulting, healthcare, FMCG, financial services and chemicals. He has experience in managing the HR function during business mergers, closures, downsizing, restructuring and change management, and he is experienced in organisational development and aligning employees under global HR policies/processes. Tare has a PHD in Human Resources and is an accredited coach.

Whether it is human capital strategy or HR processes, Rosehaida Ab Rahman has established herself as a veteran in the HR field. Before joining Petronas as the company’s general manager for human resources, Ab Rahman worked as an HR consultant. She successfully established succession plans and development initiatives at Malaysia Airports Holdings as senior general manager for human resources. Driving process improvement projects while maintaining cost savings and quality was considered her major achievement as head of human resources for Asia at Linatex Rubber Products.

Ramon Cristino San Jose is the L&D director of P&A Grant Thornton. Some of his previous leadership functions were AVP for learning and development at HSBC and global learning manager at Thomson Reuters. His areas of expertise included change management, employee engagement, talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning. He holds an MBA degree in business from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

Past Training & Development Asia conferences were participated in by MNCs and the most reputable firms across Asia, such as BNP Paribas, Citi, McDonald’s, Manulife, Seagate Technology, Telstra, VISA Worldwide and many more.
