Reminder: Periodic road closures across KL from 26-28 Oct for 47th ASEAN Summit

The road closure will be implemented periodically for about 30 to 40 minutes, between 8am and 7pm on all three days.

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will temporarily close key highways and major roads in stages for the upcoming 47th ASEAN Summit 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.

Taking place from 26 to 28 October 2025, the Summit will bring together the heads of its ASEAN member states along with key dialogue partners and global leaders.

In preparation for the leaders' motorcades, the road closure will be implemented periodically for about 30 to 40 minutes, between 8am and 7pm on all three days. PDRM has advised road users to plan their journey early on these days, and switch to public transport where needed.

The specific locations affected are as follows:

Traffic diversions coming up from 24-26 October for PETRONAS Grand Prix

In similar news, traffic diversions will be implemented from 24 October to 26 October (Friday to Sunday) as part of arrangements for the PETRONAS Grand (MotoGP) taking place on those dates.

The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department has shared the following routes visitors to the MotoGP can take:

1. The public entrance to Sepang International Circuit (SIC)

  • Enter through the KLIA Masjid Circle to the SIC parking area,
  • via the KLIA quarters traffic lights from the direction of Sepang, Enstek, Labu and Nilai, or
  • via the KLIA cargo roundabout to the ring road towards the SIC parking area.

2. The public exit route from SIC

  • Exit via the SIC parking lot towards the SIC traffic lights, then turn right towards KLIA Quarters Road in the direction of Sepang and Enstek, or
  • Exit via the Bukit Tinjau traffic lights, then turn left onto the ring road towards the cargo roundabout.
