To ensure workstation ergonomics, the office is equipped with ergonomic furniture and adjustable monitor arms improving comfort for employees.

Officially opened in November 2022, HSBC Singapore's new headquarters located at Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 2 (MBFC), spans over 140,000 sq ft of space over the top floors of the 50-storey building, and houses HSBC’s 4,000-strong local workforce whilst supporting hybrid ways of working.

In bringing this workspace to life, HSBC has moved from the traditional fixed desk seating to an activity-based workplace allowing employees to choose from a variety of settings according to the work they are doing. The open workplace has been designed with various work points to cater for different usage types including fixed workstations, height adjustable workstations, focus pods, collaboration spaces, and meeting rooms.

Team HSBC has also placed emphasis on employees’ health and wellbeing. To ensure workstation ergonomics, the office is equipped with ergonomic furniture and adjustable monitor arms improving comfort for employees. The office design also promotes health and wellbeing by considering strategies related to air, water, light, acoustic and thermal comfort.

As an effort to reduce energy consumption and carbon emission, the office is designed with energy-efficient LED lighting system integrated with motion sensors and daylight sensors to dim or turn off lights when not in used.

In August 2021, HSBC received a Green Mark Platinum certification, the highest rating possible, given by the Building and Construction Authority, aligning with the company's value on placing sustainability as a top priority.
