New online tool to help companies with cyber security

As the threat of IT attacks and fraud become an increasingly reality for businesses, leaders need all the help they can get in boosting their cyber security.

By the end of November, firms in Singapore will have access to a new starter kit, developed by the Infocomm Development  Authority of Singapore (IDA), which will allow companies to test how well their networks and systems can handle cyber attacks.

The free tool, which will be available via www.gosafeonline.sg, aims to show businesses the weaknesses in their systems and identify any gaps which could leave them open to online breaches of security.

At the 2014 National Security Conference this week, Second Minister for Trade and Industry, S. Iswaran, said the starter kit will help promote the need for better security measures in Singapore, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises, MyPaper reported.
