Through the “Future of ….” series, MENDAKI Professional Networks, and Women At Work initiatives, the R@R programme will support fresh graduates, jobseekers, mid-career workers and professionals, and those re-entering the workforce to upskill, reskill, and thrive in a fast-changing economy.
MENDAKI Singapore's launched its five-year roadmap, MENDAKI 2030 Workplan (2026 to 2030), on 20 January 2026. The roadmap sets out a clear direction to strengthen the Malay/Muslim community by focusing on four priorities: building a future-ready workforce, nurturing confident learners, strengthening families, and growing a thriving community.
Through targeted strategies, measurable outcomes, and practical programmes, the workplan supports individuals at every life stage — from early childhood to adulthood — while deepening partnerships across education, employment, and community sectors to enable long-term success.
Let’s take a closer look at the four priorities driving the workplan.
Building a future-ready workforce
The Ready At Work (R@W) programme aims to support Malay/Muslim workers — whether fresh graduates, jobseekers, mid-career professionals, or those returning to work — upskill, reskill and build future-ready mindsets through three targeted initiatives:
“Future of ….” Series
These sessions include workshops, learning journeys, and career advisory, which will provide participants the exposure to growth industries and equip them with insights to navigate evolving career landscapes.
MENDAKI Professional Networks
These platforms provide a space for professionals to connect, collaborate, and grow within a supportive community.
Women At Work
This initiative facilitates and supports Malay/Muslim women returning to the workforce through skills upgrading, capacity-building, and job-matching opportunities.
Nurturing confident learners
Building on its core education programmes, MENDAKI will strengthen education support to help students build strong foundations, develop future-ready skills and gain clarity in their education and career pathways.
This will be achieved through the following initiatives from 2026:
Enhanced MENDAKI Achievement Programme (MAP)
Formally known as the MENDAKI Tuition Programme, the MAP will expand beyond academic support to include enrichment activities and engagement sessions, including:
- Numeracy and literacy activities,
- STEAM challenges,
- Robotics,
- Technology and AI exploration,
- Career sharing sessions, and
- Learning journeys.
Together, these initiatives aim to equip students with 21st-century skills and provide guidance on their educational and career pathways.
In addition, MENDAKI has integrated AI-powered tools into MAP to enhance learning outcomes and equip tutors with AI skills, enabling them to personalise lessons and tailor activities to each student’s needs.
Expanded scholarships and bursaries
Over the next five years, MENDAKI plans to grow its scholarships and bursaries by 25% each year, helping more students from diverse backgrounds access quality higher education and prepare for the future economy.
Strengthening families
MENDAKI will launch the ReadySetLearn (RSL) programme to help parents of children aged 16 and below actively support their children’s learning and strengthen the home learning environment through four practical initiatives:
RSL roadshows
The RSL roadshows will equip parents with practical, play‑based learning strategies, and connect them to national, community and MENDAKI resources, driving the notion of nurturing and guiding their children with confidence.
RSL Maths Explorer
The RSL Maths Explorer, previously called KelasMateMatika, will continue with a new blended learning model that combines online and in-person sessions, offering greater convenience for parents.
RSL Language Explorer
The RSL Language Explorer is new reading programme will be introduced to empower parents to guide their children in developing literacy skills in both English and Malay, while cultivating a love for reading.
RSL Kit
The kit will include a range of resources to help families track developmental milestones, access guidance at each stage of their child’s growth, and receive timely support from MENDAKI and its partners.
Growing a thriving community
MENDAKI will expand its mentoring programme to provide long-term support for award recipients by introducing seminars and workshops that connect students and their parents with volunteers from MENDAKI Professional Networks.
These sessions will give exposure to different career pathways, practical guidance, and real-world insights, while building networks of support beyond financial assistance. Mentoring will also start earlier, from Secondary 1, to encourage intergenerational learning and inspire "paying it forward" culture within the community.
"Through close collaborations with national, community, and corporate partners, MENDAKI remains committed to shaping a confident, resilient, and thriving community that is prepared to meet the challenges of the future."
"At every stage of this journey, MENDAKI will stand alongside the community, steadfast in its mission to uplift lives and transform futures," MENDAKI added.
In a separate Facebook post inaugurating the launch of the MENDAKI 2030 Workplan, Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad stated that MENDAKI 2030 is about partnership, strengthening education, uplifting families, and preparing the workforce to build a confident and caring Malay Muslim community.
"Walking alongside our community, listening, adapting and moving forward together. With purpose, with optimism, and with you, every step forward."
