The four key protections – Employee, Employment, Self, and Love – are designed to cover every layer of society, Minister of Human Resources Steven Sim shared.
PERKERSO has reintroduced itself with a fresh identity – LINDUNG, a name with the goal to symbolise unity, simplicity, and empowerment in social security. Launched on 22 August 2025 (Friday), the rebranding unites four key protections – Employee, Employment, Self, and Love – under one promise: to safeguard every Malaysian, from workers at sea to families at home.
The launch was marked by a gala ceremony that brought together leaders, employers, and icons from across the nation. Minister of Human Resources Steven Sim described LINDUNG as part of PERKESO's commitment to offer more comprehensive, easy-to-understand and community-friendly social protection. He highlighted how the four key protections are designed to cover every layer of society.
Chairman of the PERKESO, Board Dato’ Sri Subahan Kamal, said that with LINDUNG, PERKESO promises to go further and to be present in every corner of the country.
"SOCSO continues to be committed to delivering the message that every worker, regardless of background, has the right to know and receive the protection they deserve," he explained.

The meaning behind LINDUNG’s identity
The blue anchors the brand, symbolising trust, security, and stability – values that seek to mirror PERKESO's role as a lifelong protector of social wellbeing. At the heart of the logo lies the distinctive “U”, styled as a heart with a check mark inside. This detail reflects love, care, and the assurance of protection, not just for contributors but also for their families and dependents.
A subtle white line that runs through the heart symbolises both a check mark and a safe road, tying back to guidance, security, and a clear path forward.
Beneath the logo, four key words represent the four pillars of protection: PEKERJA (green) for employees, KERJAYA (orange) for employment insurance, KENDIRI (dark blue) for the self-employed, and KASIH (gum pink) for housewives. Together, they form a holistic framework of security for every walk of life.
Ultimately, the heart and check mark combine into a powerful narrative: LINDUNG is not just a new name, but a living promise. It stands as a symbol of PERKESO's commitment to be more than a scheme administrator – to be the nation’s guardian, protector, and supporter.
Here is a breakdown of each of the LINDUNG logos, according to each of the pillars:

LINDUNG Pekerja provides social protection for formal sector workers, including citizens, foreign nationals, and domestic workers, under the rebranded framework of the Workers’ Social Security Act 1969 (Act 4).
Its primary objective is to safeguard workers who suffer occupational accidents, contract occupational diseases, or face untimely death, while ensuring the welfare of their dependents through cash, medical, and rehabilitation benefits.
The green in the logo symbolises life, wellbeing, and continuity, linked to providing comprehensive protection for formal sector workers throughout their careers.

LINDUNG Kerjaya provides assistance to workers who have lost their jobs, under the rebranded framework of the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 (Act 800).
Its objectives are to offer temporary financial support to displaced workers and to help them re-enter the workforce through training programmes, career guidance, and the MYFutureJobs portal.
The orange in the logo symbolises energy, opportunity, and renewal, reflecting PERKESO’s commitment to supporting workers through periods of job loss and helping them rebuild their careers with resilience.

LINDUNG Kendiri provides social security protection for self-employed individuals across 20 employment sectors, including freelancers, gig workers, micro-entrepreneurs, and others outside the formal workforce. This initiative is part of PERKESO’s Self-Employment Social Security Act 2017.
Its objectives are to offer income security for the self-employed in the event of accidents, work-related illness, or death, ensuring protection for those who are otherwise not covered under formal employment schemes.
The dark blue in the logo symbolises confidence, strength, and trust, aiming to reflect PERKESO’s commitment to safeguarding independent workers, small entrepreneurs, and gig workers as they earn a living and contribute to the economy.

LINDUNG Kasih was created to recognise and protect women from the risks of accidents or death, honoring their love and sacrifice – whether they work full-time or part-time. This initiative falls under the Housewives Social Security Act 2022.
Its objectives are to provide social security protection for women in all roles and to acknowledge the economic and social contributions of housewives to their families and the nation.
The pink colour in the logo symbolises tenderness, love, and care, reflecting PERKESO’s commitment to inclusive and empathetic protection that celebrates housewives as the backbone of the family.
