Job moves: Novartis Hong Kong appoints new global head of learning

Effective from July, Novartis Pharmaceuticals has snapped up Belinda Liu as its global head of learning. The Hong Kong-based role sees Belinda draw on her extensive L&D experience across a wide variety of sectors.

Belinda started out at Standard Chartered Bank where she cut her teeth in a variety of talent and learning roles (2006-2012) before moving on to the Philips HQ in Amsterdam (2012-2017), rising to the position of head of learning innovations. She then spent three years at SVP Learning Solutions prior to her current role at Novartis.

She is passionate about strategic leadership, talent and is a learning professional who balances her future focus with a drive for excellence in execution. Belinda has proven experience in design, development and implementation of leadership, talent and learning solutions at the country/regional level as well as scaling globally across multiple geographies.

Belinda holds a master’s degree in human resources development and management from the University of Sydney.
