HRD Corp and Emirates Aviation University to jointly develop skills and talents for Malaysia and UAE's aviation industries

Through such partnerships, HRD Corp will be able to offer a wider range of training and development programmes from across the world to its registered employers, especially for highly specialised and niche programmes that may not be available locally.

The Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Emirates Aviation University (EAU), to develop skills and talents for the aviation industry in Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This partnership, which aims to share and transfer knowledge within the aviation industry, will include developing aviation-related courses and academic programmes applicable in both countries.

In a press release on Friday, HRD Corp said parties will also work on research and development projects to benefit the aviation sector in Malaysia and the Middle East. Through such partnerships, HRD Corp shared that it will be able to offer a wider range of training and development programmes from across the world to its registered employers, "especially for highly specialised and niche programmes that may not be available locally".

"Such collaborations will also open up more markets to HRD Corp’s training providers, as they can now offer their courses to trainees and organisations abroad. HRD Corp will also be able to benchmark Malaysia’s talent development efforts against successful organisations, and governments around the world."

The MOU was signed at the EAU campus in the Dubai International Academic City, by Datuk Shahul Dawood, Chief Executive of HRD Corp and Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of EAU.

The signing was witnessed by Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Minister of Human Resources Malaysia and Robert Johnson, Partnership Manager of EAU.

Citing this as a "historic moment", Datuk Shahul Dawood said in a Facebook post that this MOU is a "pre-cursor of more collaborations between both parties for the exchange and acquisition of knowledge and skills transfer between both parties for the benefit of their countries respective citizens."
