HR practitioner appointments

Asian Technology Solutions appoints its new senior recruitment consultantBringing with her 10 years of recruiting experience, Rinie Ibrahim has moved from UTS Marketing to Asian Technology Solutions in November 2016 as a senior recruitment consultant. Based in Malaysia, this new role is also her first foray into IT recruitment and will see her gaining more experience in the industry.

S Padmanabhan is now group chief HR officer of TataAccording to Reuters, Tata's group human resources responsibilities will now be overseen by S Padmanabhan, in addition to his existing responsibilities of leading Tata Business Excellence Group. Additionally, HRKatha reported that he has already "kick-started the process of taking the group towards overall business excellence from the initial focus on quality". The report also stated that Padmanabhan's HR experience is mainly from when he served Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as HR director. His career with the Tata Group as senior executive positions began with TCS in 1982, and spans over 33 years. He is currently based in India.

Eric Goh joins Fitness First Singapore as HR managerEric Goh joins Fitness First Singapore as its human resources manager in November 2016. He will be majorly working on talent management with a few upcoming projects that focus on retention and acquisition. Goh was previously with Brotzeit as the director human resources and prior to that, he was with Suki Sushi as its vice president, human capital. Based in Singapore, he brings with him 15 years of broad-based experience where he has managed a diverse staff of different levels.

NTUC Fairprice Co-operative has new CHROKwang Cheak Tan joins NTUC Fairprice Co-operative, one of Singapore's largest retailers, as its chief human resources officer in August 2016. With more than 15 years of experience under his belt and currently based in Singapore, his previous roles included director, human resources and talent development, and healthcare leadership college with MOH Holdings, and prior to that the senior director, operations, brand extensions, business planning and human resources with McDonald's Singapore amongst others.

Authentic Technologies hires new HR & administration managerShankar Arumugam joins Authentic Technologies in Malaysia as its human resources and administration manager. Based in Malaysia, he will manage the organisation's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. He was previously from Yong Fong Rubber Industries where he was holding a similar role. His responsibilities then included developing policies, directing human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.

F&N appoints new senior manager, strategy and special projectsMoving from Global Search Partners, Gabriel Aw is now the senior manager for F&N Foods. Not only will this new role see him explore new growth opportunities for F&N Singapore, he will also be looking into synergies between existing operations across F&N's global footprint. In his previous role, Aw has explored new global talent recruitment opportunities for local and global enterprises, with a deep focus on mid- to senior-level positions. Aw is currently based in Singapore.

Ferrero welcomes new Asia pacific C&B directorGaia Gentili joins Ferrero as its Asia Pacific compensation and benefits director, and will be based in Shanghai City, China. Holding a wealth of experience in the compensation and benefits sector, she was previously the talent & reward (GDS) manager at Willis Towers Watson and prior to that a consulting manager at Mercer. During her time with Mercer, Gentili had led the team in developing chemical, consumer, retail and luxury industry as far as total remuneration surveys and projects are concerned, giving an innovative and insightful perspective to the business.

HR solutions provider appointments

ManpowerGroup Solutions appointed new APAC program delivery manager for VestasAs the newly-appointed APAC program delivery manager for the Vestas RPO programme at ManpowerGroup Solutions, Leigh van Minnen manages and oversees the operational performance of a team of 29 recruiting professionals through the measurement of agreed SLAs and KPIs. Based in Singapore, she will be closely working with the client to set and achieve strategic goals, to ensure a successful partnership. She was previously from Randstad Sourceright where she served as its APJC operations manager onsite at Cisco.

CA Search promotes regional directorShone Zhang Yi Yun has been promoted to regional director executive search & business development recruitment at CA Search. Previously known as Chris Allen Search, Shone is based in Singapore and has been with the company since March 2007, where he was senior manager, business development, international executive search then. His current role will see him head hunting business with a clearer positioning in the market place.

Chubb's new appointmentsChubb is the one of the world's largest publicly traded property and casualty insurers. It has recently appointed Koh Wei Lee as division head of accident & health (A&H) and personal & business insurance (PBI); Kevin Xiong as the new head of agency; and Risa Wong as head of travel, A&H and PBI. Koh and Xiong will report to Adam Clifford, country president for Chubb in Singapore while Wong will report to Koh. They will be based in Singapore.

Minh Van Chung, operations excellence manager, Ascott Centre for ExcellenceWith more than 10 years of experience in hospitality operations and management, Minh Van Chung continues with The Ascott Limited - Ascott Centre for Excellence as its new operations excellence manager in November 2016. He is based in Singapore and has been with The Ascott Limited since 2009, where he previously was the residence manager for The Ascott Limited – Somerset Liang Court, Singapore. This new role will see him conduct WSQ programmes, amongst other responsibilities.

MetLife appoints Lee Wood as CEO Hong KongLee Wood is now the CEO Hong Kong for MetLife. Lee will be based in Hong Kong and is a seasoned insurance professional with over 15 years of broad industry experience. He was most recently senior vice president at Allianz Taiwan Life Insurance Company Limited with responsibility for marketing, product development, and the direct marketing channel. Based in Hong Kong, Lee will be reporting to Damien Green, Regional Executive of MetLife Asia.

Joanna Guo moves to SHOW4U as consultant partnerJoanna Guo is now the consultant partner at SHOW4U, bringing with her more than seven years working experience in corporate HR. SHOW4U is a management consulting firm and a human resources digital solution provider with a focus on advertising, as well as internet and financial Service. Previously from Talent2 an2d Sephora, Joanna was responsible for a spectrum of tasks such as correspondence with clients and candidates, corporate staffing, analysing client companies, to name a few. She is currently based in Shanghai City, China.

Chris Playford joins Shell Infotech as business development managerShell Infotech recently appointed Chris Playford as its business development manager in September 2016. With 15 years of experience specialising in sales & marketing, relationship management, account management, business development & sales management to the Oceania & SEA region, Playford was previously from Full Circle Partners where he was acting as country manager. Shell Infotech is a Singapore based IT services firm, focusing on enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), network solutions, eCommerce and testing / quality assurance. He is currently based in Singapore.

Jireh Adrian Goh is the new managing consultant, APAC, at Solomann Executive SearchAppointed at the new managing consultant, Asia Pacific, Jireh Adrian Goh joined Solomann Executive Search in September 2016. He is currently based in Hong Kong and heads the consumer practice for the company. In his dual role as a career strategist and talent business partner, he connects senior executives with exciting career opportunities and provides market and talent intelligence to key stakeholders in the Consumer Goods and Retail industry. Goh brings with him a decade of career consulting and talent acquisition experience, where he has worked with Colgate-Palmolive and Korn Ferry Futurestep, to name a few.

Morakot Choomgrant, now country manager, Thailand at ClouderaMorakot Choomgrant has recently been appointed as country manager at Cloudera. Based in Singapore, she manages sales and business development focusing Thailand market. Apart from being one of the leading providers and supporters of Apache Hadoop for the enterprise, Cloudera also offers software for business critical data challenges including storage, access, management, analysis, security, and search.

Cornerstone Global Partners has new recruitment consultant, HRAs the new recruitment consultant at Cornerstone Global Partners, Edwin Lee will be involved in several collaborations relevant to talent acquisition and talent management partnerships with multi-national organisations entering or expanding operations in Singapore. Additionally, he will also be assisting clients with HR transformation/ change management/ organisational development/ learning projects through the perspective of talent acquisition. Lee was previously from Hays and is currently based in Singapore.

Heidrick & Struggles moves its engagement manager, global technology servicesHolding his role as engagement manager, global technology services with Heidrick & Struggles, Declan Zeng is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area as he moved away from Beijing, China. Zeng has been with the company since 2010 where he was an associate then. Heidrick & Struggles Global Technology Practice was formed in 1978 with professional services forming in 1993. The two practices were combined in January 2009 to form the Global Technology & Services Practice.
