HR Practitioner Appointments

Michelle Kwok is now MasterCard's associate vice presidentPreviously the company's HR business partner, Kwok has, as of March 2016, moved to the role of associate vice president at MasterCard. She has been with MasterCard since 2014. Based in Singapore, she also has had experience in working with companies such as Montage Hotels & Resorts and Shangri-La.

Prysmian Group welcomes Sivaraman Krishnan as its APAC people development managerAs the firm's APAC people development manager, Sivaraman Krishnan has been working on the development of Prysmian Group's regional training policies, process and routines since January of this year. Operating from Malaysia, Krishnan was previously the firm's HR manager.

Jeffrey Genova appointed as GroupM's HR manager - business partner, PhilippinesAs of January 2015, Jeffrey Genova is GroupM's HR manager - business partner in the Philippines. Speaking to Human Resources, Genova revealed he is excited about working in the advertising industry: "The number one action item on my agenda this year is to make our company known and be the students' preferred or top employer when they graduate from college."

Altera names Evelyn Wong as its new senior recruiterNow part of Intel, Altera has appointed Evelyn Wong as a senior recruiter. Her appointment is effective from March 2016. Based in Penang, Malaysia, Wong has been an employee of Philips Lumileds Lighting Company as well as Randstad.

Danaher Corporation bags Dorothy Lim as its new HR director, AsiaMoving from Videojet Technologies, Dorothy Lim has taken over the role of HR director, Asia at Danaher Corporation since January 2016. Lim operates from Singapore and has also worked in roles such as an HR and training executive previously.

Nestlé's Uzma Qaiser Butt relocates to SwitzerlandHaving worked as the HR director at Nestlé Malaysia and Singapore since 2013, Uzma Qaiser Butt has now moved to Switzerland. As of March 2016, she is operating as the firm's programme change lead for HR business excellence. In this role, she will be involved with the firm's global HR transformation projects.

WorleyParsons announces a new HRIS/OTIL managerChristina Batumalai has been named as WorleyParsons's HRIS/OTIL manager. She joins the company from JobStreet.com, where she was previously the regional HR shared services manager. Batumalai is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Rowena Jane "Weng" Manalaysay joins Grab as its country head, people operationsHaving more than 20 years of experience in practising HR in local and multi-national corporations in the Philippines, Rowena Jane "Weng" Manalaysay has been named as Grab's country head, people operations as of February 2016. She has also worked in firms such as Groupon Malaysia, and GroupM.

Shopper360's new HR manager is Kok Wui ChooKok Wui Choo, a learning and development professional with five years' experience, has taken on the role of HR manager with Shopper360. He is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and has previously worked in various firms such as Padini Holdings and the Asian Research Center for Child & Adolescent Development.

Jolene Lim has been hired by WorldQuant LLCOperating as WorldQuant's new HR manager, Asia, Jolene Lim joined the firm in November 2015. Based in Singapore, Lim graduated from RMIT University. She has also been part of several other corporate HR teams, such as those of Aviva and Western Union Business Solutions.

RHB Banking Group expands its HR teamEffective March 2016, Choon Hui Seow is RHB Banking Group's assistant manager, organisational planning and programme management (HR strategy). He is working in Malaysia, and prior to joining the banking industry, was the HR & business planning manager at Olygen.

Ong Pwu Liang secures a position at CBREBased in Malaysia, Ong Pwu Liang is now part of CBRE's team as its HR business partner since March 2016. Ong has seven years' experience in HR and prior to this, was responsible for ensuring the delivery of HR transactional and operational services to stakeholders across various business areas in GlaxoSmithKline.

Andrew Ng moves on from SanofiPreviously working as Sanofi's human resources director, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Andrew Ng has now joined the HR team at Fonterra. Ng has 2.5 years of working experience in Shanghai China, and regional HR leadership experience spanning various countries across Southeast Asia.

Digiphoto Entertainment Imaging gets a new training managerDigiphoto Entertainment Imaging has appointed Tulasimalar Sivanantha as its new training manager. Speaking to Human Resources, Sivanantha says her main focus this year is "to align learning and development processes to meet operational standards and work together to create a harmonious team which is passionate about learning and developing themselves."

MediaCom China recruits Edie Xie as head of talentMediaCom China has appointed Edie Xie, former Mondelēz International HR manager, as head of talent with immediate effect. With over 10 years of industry experience, Xie joins The Content + Connections Agency to align business and people strategies to enable an increase in the potential and performance of talent within a key market of MediaCom’s globally.

ONYX Hospitality Group announces the appointment of 2 new directors:

Suganya Wiwitwanit has been officially hired as the senior vice president, human resources at ONYX Hospitality Group, effective March 2016 in Thailand. She has more than 25 years of experience in HR, marketing communications, and administration management with leading MNCs in FMCG, packaging, healthcare, IT and wire and cable businesses.

Stephanie Yong is, as of March 2016, associate director, human resources, North Asia at ONYX Hospitality Group. Based in Hong Kong, Yong has previously worked in various firms, such as Puma Group and Leo Burnett, among others.

Valeo engages Keita Sato as HR director, Thermal Systems AsiaKeita Sato is the Asia Pacific HR lead for the thermal systems and compressor division in Valeo. His appointment has been effective since March 2016, and he is based in Tokyo, Japan. Sato was previously the human resources business partner at MetLife.

Best Buy's new human resources chiefBest Buy has made Paula Baker its new human resources chief. Baker started in her new role on the first week of March, overseeing the development and careers of more than 125,000 employees worldwide. She succeeds for Shari Ballard, who held dual positions as head of HR and president of U.S. retail for the last two years.

Sheila Rodrigues comes onboard Time Inc. IndiaEffective March 2016, Sheila Rodrigues will be director at Time Inc. India. Based in India, she will be responsible for leading the company's talent acquisition practice. Rodrigues has over 14 years of work experience, including the last 12 years in recruitment.

The Minnesota Vikings announces changes to HR teamThe Minnesota Vikings has named Karin Nelsen as its vice president of legal and human resources from March 2016. She joins the team after spending the past 18 years with Cargill, most recently serving as law vice president and North America general counsel, a title she held since 2012.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

TBC HR Consulting promotes Dave Chew to team managerDave Chew has risen up the ranks at TBC HR Consulting and is now the firm's team manager in Singapore. Previously operating as the company's assistant manager, Chew has worked in TBC for over 11 years and revealed to Human Resources that he is working on expanding his team this year.

Jason Ji strengthens ZW HR Consulting's teamZW HR Consulting has appointed Jason Ji as the country manager for its Singapore operations. Based in Singapore, Ji will also continue to serve as head of ZW Legal for Asia and is focused on business growth and investment opportunities in Singapore and Asia.

Kelly Services Malaysia expands headcountRoberto Henry Christ Robert has now joined Kelly Services Malaysia as its senior recruitment consultant. Operating from Penang, Malaysia, Robert's appointment is effective as of March 2016. Prior to this, Robert was working under the same designation at Wisehub Resources.

Kevin Ng named CEO of tech firm New Tactnologies, and assistant director of HR consulting firm Human Synergy

Having over 15 years of experience in both corporate human resource and human resource consulting in various industries, Kevin Ng has now joined New Tactnologies as its CEO. He has also joined HR consulting firm Human Synergy as an assistant director. Speaking with Human Resources, Ng reveals that part of his job responsibilities include "helping clients to review and revise their HR solutions".

New hires join Randstad:

Vincent Gnanadasan joins the Randstad Sourceright APAC Sourcing Centre as a senior sourcing specialist, effective March 2016. Operating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he will be involved in developing appropriate sourcing strategies for each role via understanding the market, requirements, talent pools and the best sourcing channels.

Benjamin Elms will now be part of the Randstad team as its manager, as of March 2016. He will be based in Hong Kong. Prior to this role, Elms was a senior consultant, sales and marketing - IT&T at Robert Walters.

Quinnox Solutions reveals its new senior talent acquisition specialistAs of January 2016, Desmond Nathan has been operating as Quinnox Solutions' new senior talent acquisition specialist. Based in Malaysia, Nathan has five years of sourcing and recruitment experience in mass and niche hiring.

Pratap Krishnan is now part of IBM Smarter Workforce's teamEffective February 2016, Pratap Krishnan will work as an IBM recruiter. In this role, he will be supporting Intel Malaysia's global talent acquisition team. Before this, Krishnan was employed as an recruitment consultant Prospect Consulting Malaysia. He is based in Malaysia.

Asian Technology Solutions brings in Ramana GandikotaRamana Gandikota is, as of March 2016, officially part of Asian Technology Solutions' team, joining the firm as its new Sales Head, APAC, RPO, Executive Search, ERP and BFSI recruitments. Based in Malaysia, he has had with 12 plus years of experience in resourcing and operations.

Scott Adams begins work as Kelly Services Australia's national account managerOperating from Sydney, Scott Adams has joined Kelly Services Australia as the firm's national account manager. His appointment was made effective as of February 2016. He has relocated from Singapore for this role, where he was working with Adecco.
