HR Practitioner Appointments

Brett Conway appointed GroupM’s regional chief talent officerMedia investment giant GroupM has appointed Brett Conway as the group’s new chief talent officer for Asia Pacific. He takes over from Angela Ryan, who is moving on to another opportunity as senior vice president of human resources at Fox Networks Group. Conway will be based in Singapore, where he has lived for the last 11 years, and will report into Mark Patterson, CEO of GroupM APAC. He was most recently the senior director for HR for eBay APAC, and will start his new role with GroupM on 21 May 2018. [Read more]

Infineon Technologies promotes Arulkumar SingaravelooEffective May 2018, Singaraveloo has been promoted to the role of HR director, business consulting and services, based in Malaysia. He joined the semiconductor manufacturer in 2015, serving as senior manager - HR business partner up until the promotion. Prior to joining Infineon Technologies, he was the chief operating officer at Island Petroleum.

Rohaya Roslee takes up a new role at The Dow Chemical CompanyHaving been with the multinational chemical corporation since October 2012, Roslee took up the role of Asia Pacific inclusion leader, in May 2018. Based in Singapore, she reports to the CEO and is responsible for leading and shaping the culture of inclusion in partnership with internal and external stakeholders through the implementation of Asia-centric solutions that are aligned to the global strategy. Prior to this, she served as the talent management leader (SEA).

Johnson & Johnson welcomes Ruth Anne del RosarioAs of May 2018, del Rosario has joined the global healthcare company as their country recruiter, based in the Philippines. Prior to this she was with GSK, serving as their recruitment lead for the Philippines. In that role, she lead the recruitment team in delivering recruitment excellence, process improvement and best practice to their stakeholders, hiring managers, and candidates.

Kevin Soosai moves up the ranks at Philip Morris InternationalEffective May 2018, Soosai has been promoted from organisational transformation executive, to HR business partner, based in Malaysia. Soosai has been with the tobacco company since 2013, having joined as an HR talent acquisition executive after graduating from HELP University.

On his priorities for this new role, Soosai told Human Resources: “My priorities are developing and implementing human capital and culture strategies that are in line with business objectives; promoting innovation and customer centricity in the workplace by introducing and utilising design thinking and lean startup principles to equip our people in the rapid changing business landscape; and creating a 'growth mindset' and linking it with the new organisational culture and direction.”

Dasreena Kaur joins Hilti GroupAs of May 2018, Kaur joined the manufacturing company as regional talent acquisition (SEA & ANZ), based in Singapore. This saw her moving away from her previous role as talent acquisition manager at Meltwater, where she was responsible for APAC recruitment and selection. Prior to that she was with ZALORA Group, serving as the regional talent acquisition lead.


HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Siti Quraishah Zainuddin joins AdeccoEffective May 2018, Quraishah joined the global staffing firm as a recruitment consultant, based in Malaysia. This saw her moving away from her previous role as recruitment consultant at Recruit Express, where she handled 13 accounts from multiple industries and was responsible for doing placements for both contract and permanent positions. Prior to that, she was an HR analyst at Averis.

Michael Page welcomes Kuvendran Vyanan Hari Vyanan As of May 2018, Vyanan has joined Michael Page as a recruitment consultant, based in Australia. This saw him moving away from his previous role as team lead (engineering division) at Adecco, where he was based in Malaysia and was responsible for 360 recruitment focusing on the CEE team (engineering sector). Prior to that, he was with VHR Consultancy as a consulting manager.

Rebecca Chan is senior recruiting HR partner at ForeScout TechnologiesChan joined the technology company in May 2018, moving away from her previous role as senior recruiting business partner, APAC at Palo Alto Networks. Prior to that, Chan held various roles at F5 Networks, ConnectedGroup, Forza, and Orange. In her current role at ForeScout Technologies, Chan will be based in Singapore.

Aimee Young takes up a new role in EYHaving been with the professional services firm since July 2016, Young took up the role of APAC FSO talent development - programme manager, in May 2018. Based in Singapore, she is responsible for supporting the planning and deployment of key talent development programs for FSO across APAC. Prior to this, she served as APAC FSO recruitment lead.
