HR practitioner appointments

The Walt Disney Company calls on Himanshu Kapadia as HRBPEntertainment giant The Walt Disney Company has recruited Mumbai-based Himanshu Kapadia as HR business partner, for media networks. Most recently, he was with DBS Bank for more than four years, where he tenured as senior manager HR, and then HR business partner. He also has prior experience with HDFC Bank in the same sector.

Astellas Pharma engages Valerie Wan as HR managerPharmaceutical research firm, Astellas Pharma, has appointed Valerie Wan to the role of HR manager, based in Kuala Lumpur. She moves over from IDC where as HR manager for ASEAN, she supported Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines on talent acquisition and retention. She is also tenured with organisations such as Ogilvy & Mather, PwC Malaysia, and more.

Evelina Ray finds HR role with British rail freight companyColas Rail Asia has secured Evelina Ray to the post of senior HR manager. Based in Bangsar, Malaysia, she was previously with MK Tron Holding as group HR manager, and also brings past experience from Selia Ekuiti, Medivet Group of Companies, and more. She has over 18 years of progressive HR experience augmented by a post-secondary background in HR.

Ying Ying Koh identifies new role with InterContinental Hotels GroupHaving been with InterContinental Hotels Group for 10 years in both Singapore and now Shanghai for more than eight years, Ying Ying Koh has headed up a diverse range of roles, and has recently been promoted to vice president of human resources for Greater China, thus heading up HR operations for the hotels across mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

HR solutions provider appointments

Jagadeesan Narayanasamy appointed to talent acquisition role at F5 NetworksEnterprise application service provider F5 Networks has appointed Jagadeesan Narayanasamy to the role of head of talent acquisition - APCJ and India. He continues to be based in Singapore, and moves over from SoftwareONE where he was talent acquisition leader for Asia Pacific. Bringing close to 20 years of industry experience to the role, he has previously had stints with Mindteck Singapore, Emerio (Malaysia), and Hewlett-Packard.

ABeam Consulting (Thailand) brings specialist Adam Cooke on boardFormerly head of talent acquisition at aCommerce, Adam Cooke has been brought on board by management consultant ABeam Consulting (Thailand) as head of talent acquisition. He continues to be based in Bangkok, where he moved to in 2016, after a tenure with GroupM in Singapore where he was credited with driving internal adoption of technology to improve candidate sourcing and selection.

Elma Diala-Pangilinan dives into expanded role at EYHaving been with consulting firm EY since January 2017 joining as L&D lead for ASEAN FSO, Elma Diala-Pangilinan has moved up the ranks from talent lead for APAC FS TAS and ASEAN FSO to the the new role of associate director. In this role, she is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the ASEAN Leadership Academy. She reports to the ASEAN talent development director, working with regional talent leaders, country learning leaders, and regional service line leaders.

Tim Neuhaus gears up for VP role with RandstadStaffing firm Randstad has appointed Tim Neuhaus as vice president of global client solutions APAC, based in Singapore. The global client solutions team offers organisations centralised and tailored HR solutions such as management reporting and research across multiple countries. He brings more than a decade of experience to the role, most recently as director of managed business services at Robert Half.

Hays hires business director for corporate accounts in JapanWith more than 11 years' experience within recruitment in Europe and Asia across a variety of functions and industries, Bruno Marchand has been recruited by Hays as business director for corporate accounts in Japan. Speaking to Human Resources, he shared: "As business director for Hays Japan, I'm responsible for a key account management programme for a portfolio of top-tier international companies in Japan and I'm also leading new business activities for our RPO and MSP services."

He moves over from Robert Walters where he tenured for more than a decade.

Nick Lambe joins Space Executive in MD capacityRecruitment firm, Space Executive, has appointed Nick Lambe, previously group managing director of Links International, to the role of partner, global board member and managing director - Hong Kong. The firm's services include executive and non-executive search and selection, both contingent and retained, talent pipelining, career consulting, and advisory services.
