HR job moves from AXA, Dior, Philip Morris and Captar Partners

Rick Chung starts his own recruitment agency Captar Partners

In January, Rick Chung took a leap from employee to entrepreneur. He co-founded recruitment agency Captar Partners and is also its managing director. 

Founded also in January, Captar Partners is a recruitment firm specialising in banking and financial services, private wealth management, corporate and commercial banking, buy-side and insurance sectors. The firm currently has offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and the US, and Rick will oversee the Hong Kong business. 

He has over a decade of experience in the HR field. Previously, Rick spent eight years at Randstad. He started as a consultant and slowly moved up the ladder to director for the banking & financial services, insurance, HR & business support, technology and contracting recruitment services.

On a separate note, he has two master's degrees – a MA in Communication and New Media and a MSc in Human Resources Management. 

Christian Dior Couture appoints Kassandra Hau as human resources manager

Luxury fashion house Christian Dior Couture has welcomed Kassandra Hau as human resources manager in March. She brings over 14 years of experience to her new role. Prior to Christian Dior, she was HR manager at Penhaligon's. 

Philip Morris International moves Becky Fung to people & culture lead, product 

Effective January, Becky Fung was shifted to people & culture lead for products in Hong Kong at Philip Morris International. 

Her previous role was supervisor for people & culture for Hong Kong, Macau and regional headquarter, where she was responsible for supporting talent management and talent acquisition for all functions. She also designed employee engagement activities, was involved in projects related to employer branding.

Becky started her career in Philip Morris in 2017 as a management organisation development executive for Hong Kong, Macau and its regional headquarter. She managed talent acquisition activities for all functions, supported managers to facilitate conversation with talents and drove employee engagement activities. She also designed an internship programme.

Prior to Philip Morris, she worked in Johnson & Johnson, IBM, and Carlsberg Group. On top of her master's degree in strategic human resources management, she also obtained two certificates from the Hong Kong Management Association and Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management: An advance certificate course on employment ordinance and an executive certificate in total reward management, human resources management and services. 

New responsibilities for George Stansfield at AXA Group

AXA has announced senior leadership changes today that complement its new strategic plan, Driving Progress 2023.

Among the appointments, George Stansfield, Deputy CEO and group general secretary, who is in charge of legal, HR, audit, compliance and public affairs, will now also oversee communication, brand and sustainability. He and another deputy CEO will manage all of the group’s central functions to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the implementation of the new strategic plan.

Additionally, the group’s management committee will be renewed. Stansfield and Karima Silvent, group CHRO are two of 15 committee members.

“I am confident that this new leadership team, strengthened by new talents and bringing together a great breadth of perspectives and personalities will be instrumental in helping us successfully navigate the new post-crisis environment, continue developing a diverse and inclusive culture, and consolidate AXA’s leadership and ambition for the industry,” said Thomas Buberl, CEO of AXA.
