GSTV – U-Save and S&CC rebates: 950,000 eligible households to receive payouts starting April 2023

Eligible Singaporean households (in HDB flats) will receive GSTV – S&CC rebates to offset between 1.5 and 3.5 months of their S&CC each year.

About 950,000 Singaporean households in HDB flats will receive their quarterly GSTV – U-Save and GSTV – S&CC rebates in April 2023.

In an announcement on 31 March (Friday), the Ministry of Finance said that in FY2023, eligible households will receive double their regular U-Save – amounting to about eight to 10 months’ worth of utility bills for the average household living in one- and two-room HDB flats, and about four to six months’ worth of utility bills for the average household living in three- and four-room HDB flats.

The ministry added that eligible households will also receive GSTV – S&CC rebates to offset between 1.5 and 3.5 months of their S&CC each year. These rebates are disbursed in April 2023, July 2023, October 2023, and January 2024, and will be credited directly into households’ S&CC accounts managed by their respective Town Councils.

No action is required for eligible households to receive these benefits.

An overview of the benefits is as follows:

Similar to the S&CC payouts, the additional rebates for the GSTV – U-Save will be credited to eligible households at the same time as their regular GSTV – U-Save, in the usual quarters of April 2023, July 2023, October 2023, and January 2024.

It should be noted that for both benefits, households with members who own more than one property will not be eligible.
