Father hires virtual hitman to "kill" unemployed son

A Chinese man hired a hitman to virtually "kill" his son's avatar in his online games, after growing tired of him sitting around the house without a job.

According to Kotaku, Xiao Feng is a 23-year-old addicted gamer who was so addicted to online games that his school grades suffered.

But when he failed to complete an intern placement at a software development company, his father stepped in to put a stop to the endless hours of gaming.

Sanqing Daily reported he hired an in-game assassin to "kill" his son's online character every time he logged on, in the hopes he would become bored by the games and give up playing.

But apparently the plan backfired after his son started asking his ‘murderers' why they kept killing him, and they spilled the beans.

He was reported as telling his father: "I can play or I can not play, it doesn't bother me.

'I'm not looking for any job-I want to take some time to find one that suits me."
