The bus operator is taking a more flexible approach to offer a “three days on, two days off” rostering pattern for successful candidates.
To cater to the new generation’s pursuit for a high-quality work-life balance and more holidays to explore the world, Hong Kong’s franchised bus operator Citybus has announced the "3-Day Bus Captain Contract" recruitment campaign.
According to its statement, the bus operator is taking a more flexible approach to offer successful candidates a special rostering pattern – three days on, two days off, allowing the new generation to pursue their dreams, both inside and outside the workplace.
In terms of remuneration, a typical new hire three-day bus captain working an average of 10 hours per day would receive a monthly salary of up to HK$21,000, plus a HK$6,000 sign-on bonus.
Meanwhile, a bus captain recruited under this campaign could enjoy a competitive remuneration package comparable to that offered to full-time bus captains, which incorporates complimentary bus passes to bus captains themselves and their relatives, group life and personal accident insurance, as well as a family-friendly policy including 24 weeks of full-paid maternity, and two weeks of full-paid paternity leave.
“Citybus is devoted to creating and maintaining our position as the best company to work for, we are launching the ‘3-Day Bus Captain Contract’ campaign to further push our recruitment boundaries,” said Roger Wong Wai-yip, General Manager (People and Culture) of Citybus.
“This revolutionary initiative is perfectly tailored to the new generation to pursuit a work-life balance, empowering our colleagues to pursue their dreams while also enjoying a market-leading remuneration package.”
The new campaign adds to the success of Citybus' "Half-Day Bus Captain Contract" programme introduced two years ago. The currently new campaign is exclusively available for the Hong Kong Island, Airport, and Tung Chung area operations.
