Asia's greatest in employer branding: SAP, InMobi, DBS Bank, Maybank

SAP commanded the category for the ‘best employer brand development by an in-house HR team’ at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, bagging gold at the Singapore edition of the awards, shared with InMobi; and silver at the awards in Hong Kong (shared with adidas Group) as well as in Malaysia.

Joining SAP and InMobi on the winners’ podium in Singapore were McDonald's Restaurants and Ericsson clinching silver, and salt communications winning the bronze.

All entries submitted were judged by a pool of more than 60 senior HR practitioners from the corporate and public sector across Asia.

For this category, the judges looked for an employer branding strategy that communicated the employee value proposition effectively and transparently.

At the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, Hong Kong, DBS Bank (Hong Kong) won the gold honour for excellence in employer branding, with the silver awarded jointly to adidas Group and SAP SE, with New World Development winning bronze.

adidas Group's team commented on the win: "The judges are in particular impressed with the way we drive our employer branding strategy to creating moments that matter – explaining to the world the reasons why we are shaping the future of sport because: we believe that sport has the power to change lives."

Asia Recruitment Awards, held for the second consecutive year, are the region’s premier awards for recognising and rewarding excellence in recruitment, across in-house recruitment teams as well as recruitment agencies, held in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

The Malaysia edition of Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 saw Maybank crowned the gold winner, while SAP bagged the silver trophy, while the bronze was jointly presented to Mah Sing Group and ManpowerGroup.

The team from Maybank stated: "These awards are a testament to Maybank’s commitment to employing best-in-class HR practices as well as using the latest technologies and trends to recruit effectively and to strengthen Maybank's reputation as a top employer."
