Affin Bank launches COVID-19 vaccination programme for employees

This initiative is part of the Bank's wellness programme, called Affin Wellness, and is led by the People office.

Malaysia-headquartered Affin Bank has launched a vaccination drive for its employees on 27 June 2021. This is part of the Bank's wellness programme, called Affin Wellness, as told to Human Resources Online (HRO).

The drive is being executed in collaboration with Selcare, a healthcare provider and SELangkah, a public health initiative platform to ensure the health and safety of the community. It was held at PPV Tropicana Gardens Mall, in line with the Selangor government’s solution in managing the spread of COVID-19 within the state using data science and artificial intelligence.

Affin Bank is the financial holding company of Affin Islamic Bank, Affin Hwang Investment Bank, Affin Moneybrokers, and AXA AFFIN Life Insurance.

Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah Wan Ali, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of Affin Bank said: “This initiative has encouraged us to provide an opportunity for all employees to get vaccinated and towards achieving the target to fully vaccinate all employees. We believe this initiative will drive to a more positive business continuity with our workforce and instill a sense of belonging and empowerment among themselves as members of this big family."

Mohd Syukri Ahmad Sudari, Chief People Officer of Affin Bank, added: "The Bank is fully aware that the COVID-19 virus has brought many challenges to the workplace and employees over the last year”. He noted this is an important initiative under the Bank’s wellness programme, called Affin Wellness, led by the People office, with a belief that employees' health and wellbeing is a key focus for the organisation.
