Additional work pass quotas have been allocated for Singapore's healthcare sector, says MOH

Employers also now have greater flexibility to hire foreign nurses and support care staff from non-traditional sources, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health Rahayu Mahzam shared.

Singapore's healthcare sector has been allocated additional work pass quotas, and greater flexibility to recruit foreign nurses and support care staff from non-traditional sources, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health Rahayu MahzamhMM has affirmed.

"These measures have been used very judiciously by the sector," she added. 

The minister was responding  to Member of Parliament Louis Ng's question on the measures taken with the Ministry of Manpower to exercise appropriate flexibility under the work pass framework, on the hiring of foreign nurses to meet the healthcare sector's manpower needs.
