A day in the life of: Felicia Teh, HR Director, BAT Malaysia

Not a day passes for Felicia Teh, Human Resources Director, British American Tobacco (BAT) Malaysia, without a good cup of coffee by the in-house barista. She tells Priya Sunil about her top five must-haves at work, her role model for women empowerment, and more.

Q What is the one thing that gets you out of bed every morning?

Spending some quality time with my daughter before she goes off to school.

Q What are your top five must-haves at the office?

Good coffee! We are very fortunate to have our own in-house barista who supplies us with our daily caffeine fix ?. I also must have my laptop, my trusty notebook and pen to take down notes during meetings and of course my mobile phone to stay connected!

Q What's for lunch?

I normally have working lunches of pasta or sandwiches when there are long meetings. On the occasion that I do go out for lunch, I normally like to have a dim sum or a quick local meal at a nearby coffee shop.

Q Back to work: what can people expect when they receive a meeting invite from you?

The topic for discussion and a short and clear agenda.

Q Who is your role model in or outside of work, and why?

Sheryl Sandberg – she is an advocate for empowering women to succeed in the modern world.

Q It's the end of the long work day – how do you re-charge for the next working day ahead?

I spend some time catching up on my social media feeds and my favourite online shopping sites. I also try to squeeze in a quick run on the treadmill to sweat it out.
