5 new members join HRDF's board of directors post AGM

Malaysia's Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) has announced five new names to its Board of Directors, following its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Wisma HRDF.

The new appointees are:

  • Dato’ Quah Thain Khan
  • J. Rasamy a/l Manikkam
  • Puan Betty binti Hasan
  • Elanjelian Venugopal
  • Lim Kah Cheng

The appointments to HRDF, also known as Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB), were announced by Malaysia's Human Resources Minister Yang Berhormat Tuan M. Kulasegaran at the press conference post AGM.

The announcement comes on the heels of a number of changes in HRDF's organisation chart within the past month, with CEO Datuk Vignaesvaran Jeyandran having tendered his resignation effective June 21, and another three board members having tendered to the Minister on 11 June.

Presently, deputy chief executive Lim Kah Cheng is the acting chief executive.

Human Resources has reached out to HRDF for details on the new board members' priorities, and this story will be updated once details are received.

Members of the board who remain unchanged are:

  • Tan Sri Datuk (Dr) Ketheeswaran a/l M. Kanagaratnam
  • Datuk Kang Hua Keong
  • Dato' Mohd Razali bin Hussain
  • Dato' Jeffery Tan
  • Dr. Hii Sui Cheng
  • Lim Yoke Cheong
  • Tuan Haji Abdul Wahab bin Abu Bakar
  • Davies Danavaindram
  • Rizal Faris bin Mohideen Abdul Kader
  • Cik Azah Hanim binti Ahmad
