Wishing you a happy Songkran: A time to refresh, reconnect, and renew

May the Thai New Year remind us to pause, let go of the past, and begin again with a clear heart. We wish you a safe, meaningful, and truly happy Songkran.

Dear Reader,

We at HRO would like to wish our Thai friends a blessed Songkran, the Thai New Year.

For many, Songkran is marked by a water festival, with joyful splashing in the streets. But the heart of Songkran goes much deeper. It is a time to:

  • Wash away the old year – letting go of stress, mistakes, and difficulties.
  • Show respect and gratitude – especially to parents, elders, teachers, and mentors.
  • Reconnect with family and community – returning home, sharing meals, and being together.
  • Begin again with a clear mind and open heart.

Water in Songkran is more than a symbol of fun; it represents cleansing, renewal, and good wishes for the year ahead. As scented water is gently poured over the hands of loved ones and elders, blessings are shared for health, happiness, and prosperity.

On this special occasion, we would like to extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones:

May this Songkran wash away the worries of the past year.

May your days ahead be filled with good health, happiness, and peace of mind.

May you find time to rest, recharge, and reconnect with the people and things that matter most.

If you are travelling or taking part in festivities:

  • Please stay safe on the roads
  • Take care of yourself and those around you
  • Enjoy this meaningful time of tradition, family, and joy

From all of us at Human Resources Online,
Happy Songkran and warm wishes for a wonderful new year ahead.
