"Success is not about replacing people with AI but empowering every Pos Wira to leverage AI to deliver better outcomes for our customers, communities and the future of Pos Malaysia," shares Anil S K Nair, Head of Talent & Employee Experience, Pos Malaysia.
As Pos Malaysia works towards becoming a modern, customer-centric, and technology-enabled logistics organisation, it is pairing digital transformation with a people-centred employee experience strategy.
For Anil S K Nair, Head of Talent & Employee Experience, Pos Malaysia, creating a future-ready workforce means supporting employees at every stage of their journey while fostering the curiosity, continuous learning, and adaptability needed to embrace new ways of working.
The team's efforts were recognised at the Employee Experience Awards 2026, Malaysia, in the following categories:

Q Tell us about the biggest insight or lesson that influenced your EX approach this past year.
The biggest lesson for us was that employee experience is not a collection of HR programmes; it is a business transformation strategy.
As Pos Malaysia continues to evolve into a modern, customer-centric and technology-enabled logistics organisation, we recognised that sustainable transformation can only happen when our people are equally transformed. This led us to take a holistic approach to the Pos Wira journey, focusing on every stage of the employee lifecycle from Attract, Hire and Onboard, through to Engage, Perform, Develop, Reward and Offboard.
We realised that every touchpoint matters. When employees understand our purpose, see opportunities to grow, and feel supported throughout their careers, they become active contributors to transformation rather than recipients of change.
Ultimately, our greatest insight was simple: when our people thrive, our business thrives.
Q How did you bring leaders, managers, and employees together to support the execution and success of the initiative?
At Pos Malaysia, we believe employee experience is everyone’s responsibility, not just HR’s. Our transformation is championed by Group Chief Executive Officer Charles Brewer and Group Chief People Officer Natalia Navin, with strong support from the Board, Senior Leadership Team, people leaders, Certified Wira Ambassadors and employees across the organisation.
Natalia has been instrumental in embedding employee experience into our people strategy, focusing on leadership, learning, culture, wellbeing and talent development to support business transformation.
A key driver has been the Certified Wira Ambassador Programme, which empowers employees to champion our culture, values and transformation at the grassroots level.
Together with investments in leadership development, career mobility, wellbeing and digital transformation, we have built a collaborative culture where leaders and employees jointly shape the Pos Malaysia experience while advancing our purpose of building trust to connect lives and businesses for a better tomorrow.
Q What challenge behind the scenes tested your team the most, and what did it teach you about building stronger employee experience programmes?
One of our greatest challenges was creating a consistent employee experience for more than 16,000 Pos Wiras across our diverse postal, logistics, aviation, retail, commercial and corporate operations. While this diversity creates opportunities for growth and mobility, it also requires balancing consistency with experiences tailored to different roles and career journeys.
A key lesson was that meaningful transformation starts with listening. Our leaders regularly conduct turun padang engagements to understand employees' realities, challenges and aspirations firsthand. In addition, leaders across the organisation conduct regular daily or weekly huddles with their teams, while the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Senior Management Team (SMT) provide weekly video updates to keep employees informed, connected and aligned to business priorities.
We also maintain close collaboration with union leaders to ensure the workforce's voice is heard. These partnerships have enabled us to navigate change with transparency, trust and shared ownership.
"Ultimately, we learned that trust drives transformation. When leaders are visible, employees feel heard, and feedback results in meaningful action, engagement strengthens, creating a more inclusive, connected, and sustainable employee experience."
Q As you reflect on the journey, what this recognition at the Employee Experience Awards 2026 mean to you and your team?
This recognition is especially meaningful because it belongs to our 16,000 Pos Wiras across Malaysia, particularly our frontliners who serve customers and communities every day. From postmen and couriers to retail, logistics and aviation teams, they are the heart of Pos Malaysia and the driving force behind our transformation.
For us, this award is more than recognition of HR initiatives – it is validation that investing in our people, creating opportunities for growth, and building a culture rooted in trust, respect and purpose is making a real difference.
Most importantly, it reinforces our belief that when we enable our people to succeed, business success follows. This achievement belongs to every Pos Wira who continues to deliver, connect and improve lives across Malaysia.

Q Tell us about the biggest insight or lesson that influenced your EX approach this past year.
HR teams need to focus on building an AI-ready culture, not just deploying AI tools. The real opportunity lies in helping employees embrace change and confidently integrate AI into their daily work. As AI reshapes industries, organisations must make it part of everyday problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration and innovation.
At Pos Malaysia, we are creating a future-ready workforce by encouraging employees to experiment, learn and adopt new ways of working. AI enables our people to improve productivity, enhance customer experiences, make data-driven decisions and simplify routine tasks.
We believe the future of employee experience lies in combining technology with human potential through a culture of curiosity, continuous learning and adaptability.
Success is not about replacing people with AI but empowering every Pos Wira to leverage AI to deliver better outcomes for our customers, communities and the future of Pos Malaysia.
