The perception of the HR function ranges widely, from back-office administration and payroll to business-focused corporate leader.
In many companies there is a long way to go, especially in Asia. All this begs the question: what do CEOs think of HR?
Highly regarded industry experts will examine the expectations of CEOs and managing directors on HR at the HR Leaders Summit, Asia’s most prestigious event for senior HR executives.
"Exceptional CEOs recognise the voice of human resources in leading people and developing workforce policies," said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.
"What the HR Leaders Summit delegates can learn this year is more practical insights and well-structured strategies they can perform to help achieve business targets."
HR Leaders Summit is an ultra-exclusive, invitation-only conference for senior HR executives to be held at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa on the island of Phuket in southern Thailand on 16-18 May 2016.
The keynote presentation by Stephen Mosely, president and managing director of L’Oreal, titled "Going forward: What do CEOs expect from HR?" will zoom in on the relationship of CEOs and HR as well as the link between human resources management and company objectives.
Having practiced his leadership capabilities across countries like France, Britain and China, Mosely will detail proven ways through which HR can maximise its role in driving business growth.
He will also lay out steps CEOs and managing directors can take in evaluating the accomplishments of their HR function.
In addition, Mosely will discuss different perspectives about the opportunities HR can grab to underscore its credibility and value in the company’s growth.
