Up the ranks: Welspun World inducts Vikram Bector as Director and Group CHRO

In this role, Bector looks forward to leading charge in reshaping the organisation's HR strategies and practices.

India-based conglomerate, Welspun World, has appointed Vikram Bector (pictured above) as Director and Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), as of October 2023.

Cited as a "strategic addition to its leadership team", the focus for Bector is going to be on aligning the unique dynamics, talent, and culture-driven work environment, with the company's overall vision.

In his role, Bector looks forward to leading charge in reshaping the organisation's HR strategies and practices. Per a press release, he will focus on fostering an ownership mindset and driving changes in technology, capability development, agile partnerships, and cultural stewardship, all geared toward enhancing employee experience and positively impacting the business.

Bringing over three decades of experience in the HR field, Bector shared: "Together with the team, I look forward to contributing to the profitable growth of each of our businesses by fostering a culture of innovation, diversity, and employee engagement. We hope to create a brighter future for our employees and the communities we serve."

Before joining Welspun World, Bector served as President and Group CHRO at Piramal Group, credited with shaping a high-performance culture. He brings over 35 years of HR experience, having worked across sectors such as pharma, financial services, automobiles, oil & gas, IT, and consulting.
