Up the ranks: Virginia Lim takes on Talent duties for Mediacorp as Doreen Neo retires, effective 1 April 2026

This will be an expanded role for Virginia Lim, who will continue to lead Mediacorp’s Content Group.

Singapore's national media network Mediacorp has announced the appointment of Virginia Lim as Chief Content and Talent Officer (pictured above), effective 1 April 2026. She takes on the duties from outgoing Chief Talent Officer, Doreen Neo, who will be retiring from Mediacorp

In this expanded role, Lim will continue to lead Mediacorp’s Content Group, while assuming leadership of Talent Hub.

Neo will retire from Mediacorp on 31 March 2026, concluding a Mediacorp journey spanning more than two decades. She has held multiple leadership roles over the years, including Chief Content Officer and Managing Director, Studios, and has been credited as a "steady leader through periods of change and opportunities", in a statement by the company.

The Talent Hub, under Neo's tutelage, has consolidated its position as a platform to identify, develop and support talent across traditional, digital and social media. Currently it comprises Bloomr.SG and The Celebrity Agency (TCA), representing more than 150 Bloomr.SG creators and 100 talents from TCA, with a combined following of over 50mn across social platforms.

Outgoing leader Neo shared: "I am proud of what we have built together, especially in strengthening the support for talent and creators across platforms. I am thankful for the trust and support of my colleagues over the years, and I look forward to cheering Team Mediacorp on in the next chapter."

Building upon this momentum, newly-appointed Talent leader Lim is looking forward to further aligning Mediacorp’s content and talent strategies to strengthen a pipeline of talent and original IPs, deepen co-productions and cross-border collaborations, and unlock more opportunities for Singapore stories and talent to reach wider audiences in the region and beyond.

Tham Loke Kheng, Chief Executive Officer, Mediacorp, expressed gratitude at Neo's tenure, saying she has shaped Mediacorp's talent ecosystem, championed people development, and strengthened pathways for talent in tandem with the evolution of the media industry.

She added: "As Chief Content and Talent Officer, Ms Lim’s expanded role reflects the strategic importance of bringing content and talent closer together."

On her appointment, Lim said: “This expanded role allows us to work more closely with partners, co-creators and platforms in Singapore and beyond, creating more room for collaboration and growth. As we move forward, we will continue to evolve while staying focused on the people and craft behind every story."
