After nearly a decade with the fast-food corporation, Michael DeSantis has stepped into a new HR leadership role focused on strengthening talent, employee experience, and organisational capability across the business.
Michael DeSantis has been promoted to the role of Vice President, Human Resources at The Wendy's Company, effective April 2026. Based in the Ohio Metropolitan Area, he most recently served as Senior Director - HR at the company.
In his new role, he will continue to support the company’s global teams and advancing its people priorities as the business grows.
The appointment reflects nearly a decade of experience within the organisation, during which DeSantis has been credited for playing a key role in shaping Wendy’s people strategy across teams.
According to the company, he has been involved in aligning talent priorities, strengthening organisational capability, and improving the employee experience. His leadership also supported programmes focused on employee development, engagement, and business performance.
Since joining The Wendy's Company as Senior HR Generalist, DeSantis has progressed through a series of HR leadership roles, contributing to both people operations and broader workforce priorities.
