Up the ranks: Rupini Raman joins BPL Medical Technologies to lead its human capital strategy

As Head – Human Capital, Rupini will focus on hiring, retention, capability building, and organisational culture as the company adapts to a more technology-driven healthcare landscape.

BPL Medical Technologies has appointed Rupini Raman as Head – Human Capital, as the company looks to align its people strategy with its ongoing business expansion.

Rupini brings more than 18 years of experience across startups and multinational organisations. Her work has included building teams, supporting organisational transformation, and leading people-focused initiatives across different stages of business growth.

In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping BPL Medtech’s human capital strategy, with a focus on attracting, integrating, and retaining talent capable of thriving in a technology-driven healthcare environment. She will also work closely with leadership to strengthen organisational culture, enhance capability building, and ensure the company’s people strategy keeps pace with its business priorities.

The appointment comes as BPL Medical Technologies is expanding its operational and technological capabilities. With healthcare and technology becoming more closely linked, the company is focusing on talent with both domain knowledge and digital fluency, including across functions such as sales and operations.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director, BPL Medical Technologies, said:

“As we enter a high-growth phase, it is critical for us to proactively design our people strategy and leadership pipeline. Rupini’s experience in building agile, forward-looking organisations will play a key role in helping us scale with clarity and consistency.”

On her end, Rupini said the company’s current phase presents an opportunity to build teams that can work across traditional and technology-enabled roles.

“The opportunity lies in building teams that go beyond traditional roles; where even functions like sales and operations are increasingly tech-enabled. I look forward to creating a talent framework that supports innovation, agility, and long-term growth.”

Sharing about her excitement on her next phase of her career on LinkedIn, Rupini expressed:

"Looking forward to this new chapter, learning from an amazing team, and contributing meaningfully towards healthcare technology."

Prior to her joining BPL Medical Technologies, Rupini ran an independent consulting practice as a Fractional CHRO and Strategic People Advisor. She also previously served as Head of Human Capital at Yulu and Head of Human Resources at Vivriti Capital, and has also worked in HR strategy and operations with Shipa.
