Up the ranks: Ravi Bhogaraju, global head HR and talent at Archroma

Ravi Bhogaraju moves up the ranks from his previous role as head HR Asia at Archroma, to global head HR and talent at Archroma, effective July 2016. He has been with the company since November 2013 when he joined in the role of HR head of HR Asia. As a stretch to his role, in 2014 to 2015, Bhogaraju took on the role of global HR integration lead. Prior to joining Archroma, Bhogaraju was the head of HR services APAC at Syngenta Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Bhogaraju will be working closely with the markets, the CEO and the worldwide leadership team to drive the initiatives for the business, he told Human Resources. He will be based in Singapore and report to the business President Asia.

On the change in roles, Bhogaraju said: "In my previous role I had the global business partner and the regional HR hat."

"My new role comprises of leading the HR team in Asia, the global business partner for a 1billion dollar business unit and the global responsibility for talent, OD and the HR network."

He added that the addition of the global talent, OD and HR responsibilities have been a welcome stretch to the role.

Bhogaraju said: "Given the composite nature of the role – different parts have different priorities – however all of them need align to the overall business objective of driving profitable growth worldwide.

"For us at Archroma we continuously challenge the status quo with the deep belief that we can drive sustainability and positive change in the industry - driving our culture and engagement of employees towards this goal is critical."

Bhogaraju added that the company's worldwide HR leadership team has been reorganised.

"We have organised it as a network with each of the key HR leaders - wearing three hats - a regional operational role, a global expertise role and a global business partner role," he said.

"It is good to firsthand experience that – it is possible to create a wider impact that your country / region without losing connectivity to the business, markets and the day to day issues."
