He is tasked to help drive transformation at scale as the company continues to invest in India as a delivery and innovation hub.
AHEAD, provider of digital platform engineering and transformation services, has appointed Prajwal UI as Director – People & Operations for India, where he will oversee the company’s people strategy, operational excellence and organisational transformation across the country.
With over two decades of experience in HR leadership and business transformation, Prajwal brings experience in building talent strategies, strengthening rewards and performance frameworks, and modernising HR systems. His background spans large global organisations — such as Infosys Technologies, SAP India, and Comat Technologies — with work across talent management, diversity and inclusion, HR automation and SAP HCM-driven process transformation.
Prior to this role, Prajwal served as Director - Human Resources at Unisys India, where he played a key role in strengthening talent strategy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting business growth across hybrid and multi-location teams.
Before that, he spent over 10 years at Wipro Technologies as Senior Manager - Human Resources and HRBP Lead for the Telecom Business Unit and the CTO function. During his tenure, he also led HR for one of Wipro’s US acquisitions and programme-managed the persons with disabilities (PwD) initiative under the company’s diversity and inclusion charter.
Sharing on his appointment, Prajwal said:
"AHEAD’s focus on building strong, integrated platforms for enterprises aligns closely with my belief that people, processes, and technology must evolve together."
"I look forward to partnering with leadership teams to strengthen our people practices, enable scalable operations and support the organisation’s growth journey in India.”
Sumed Marwaha, Managing Director, AHEAD - India, added that with Prajwal's strong blend of strategic HR leadership and operational depth, his experience in managing complex, global workforces and driving transformation at scale will be "instrumental" as the company continues to invest in India as a core delivery and innovation hub.
