Up the ranks: Debbie Mannas joins Sun Life as head of OD and talent, Asia

Effective 10 July 2017, Debbie Mannas is head of organisation development and talent, Asia at Sun Life. Reporting directly to Jeff Kozan, head of HR and communications, Mannas will be responsible for leading the company's talent management and talent development programmes across Asia.

As part of her new role, she will bring best practices from Sun Life's global human resources centre of expertise to the Asia business, in areas including performance management, talent review and succession planning, and training and development programmes.

Mannas has almost 20 years of HR experience in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Sun Life, she was group head of human resources at Wallem Group. She has a demonstrated history of building and implementing HR programmes that align with business strategy and is passionate about developing people.

When asked about her priorities for the upcoming year, Mannas told Human Resources magazine: "To translate Sun Life's talent initiatives into a meaningful framework for stakeholders across the region, so that talent discussions and outcomes can be kept alive between leaders and their teams through the year."

She continues to be based in Hong Kong.
