Up the ranks: Compass IDC sees new Heads of People & Culture as well as Talent Acquisition

The newly-appointed industry veterans will lead initiatives for three Compass IDCs across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Gurugram, comprising a team of over 200 engineers across India, with plans to further ramp up hiring.

In a series of appointments, Compass India Development Centre (IDC) sees Rajalakshmi Sivanand as new Head of People & Culture (P&C) (featured above, left), and Manik Banga as Head of Talent Acquisition (featured above, right). The newly-appointed industry veterans will head Compass IDC's people strategy, including talent acquisition, engagement and ensuring organisational development across the IDCs located in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Gurugram.

Their remit includes the three Compass IDCs located in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Gurugram, which represent the only three overseas development centers of Urban Compass Inc., a US-headquartered technology platform. The IDCs comprise a team of over 200 engineers across India with intent to further ramp up their hiring.

Compass has a global technology talent pool comprising 1,500 product and engineering professionals, including in India.

On the new appointments, Vikram Kumar, Sr. Director of Business Operations, Compass IDC commented: "Rajalakshmi and Manik’s experience in developing and building high-performance organisations across geographies will help us expand our India team strategically and sustainably. Employee development and wellbeing is a key pillar for Compass and their role will be critical in strengthening this commitment and bolstering our presence in India."

With over two decades of mainstream experience in championing the HR function for IT product development organisations such as Model N and SumTotal Systems, Sivanand will conceptualise and drive HR initiatives to realise bottom-line results and enhance the overall employee engagement, in line with organisational objectives.

Meanwhile, Banga brings over 14 years of industry experience across Accenture, Barclays and General Electric, and is driven to execute carefully-curated recruitment strategies targeting the best technology talent in India.

Sivanand commented on her appointment, noting the company's growth in leading R&D and innovations from its three IDCs thus far. She added: "I look forward to further expediting the progress by building a cohesive range of P&C capabilities that will further enhance the people power of the organisation and help in reaffirming high levels of trust, respect and credibility."

Banga also shared his thoughts on his new role: "I look forward to contributing towards taking this growth to the next level and furthering the Compass IDC vision of being a world-class, employee-first organisation."
