In an age where hackathons during recruitment are becoming more common, career websites still fulfil one of the most basic needs of HR professionals – sourcing candidates easily and conveniently.
In today’s connected world, 44% of people check their mobile device for work purposes more than 20 times a day, according to RolePoint. Yet, in a PageUp survey, it was found that among the career sites across Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, 90% were not mobile-optimised.
While all recruitment portals have their strengths and weaknesses, the best focus on delivering the most high calibre and motivated applicants. Other features of great recruitment portals are candidate management, ability to integrate with employers’ recruitment systems, mobile-friendly, and social sharing-enabled – apart from employer branding flexibility, price range and customer service.
In the HR Vendors of the Year 2018 awards held in Singapore and Malaysia, a hand-picked jury of HR leaders across the region picked the Best Recruitment Portals which tick the most boxes on the HR professional’s wish list.
